The Te Puke Gold Reefs Ltd was incorporated on the 5 May 1898. The directors were: The company owned 483 acres (Part section 17 Block 5 Maketu Survey District) as well as 100 acres (Section 7 Block 5) and 504 acres (Part section 17 Block 5). These properties are on No 4 Road, Te Puke and later became part of the Muir's Reef Gold Mine.
