My machine is a V3 (2014 I think) and the only repair I have made besides routine cleaning is the steam wand clip for $2.15 at my local repair shop probably cheaper on Amazon and I have had it since 2018.

Not commercial level but definitely provided all the flour I needed for personal and professional use. Though I can't compare it to the 100, I have always found that it handles grinding flour in a reasonable amount of time.

In my opinion, most people aren't going to stop drinking coffee so you'd be better off buying a product that's going to last and you won't feel the need to upgrade.
